The world’s smallest lens cleaning cloth is smaller than a postage stamp!

Kuvrd, the company that brought us the universal lens cap, is funding another wacky invention. This time it’s a miniature lens cloth called WaterBear that’s as small as a postage stamp and sticks to your phone or camera so you can take it anywhere.

We’ve all been in situations where our smartphone camera lenses get a little foggy when removed from a pocket, and maybe your device’s fingerprint reader just won’t read. Stains and fingerprints are traces that can be left anywhere and everywhere, no matter how careful we are with our devices.

For photographers in particular, a microfiber cloth is a basic tool and important piece of equipment to have on us at all times, if you also wear glasses you probably have around three cloths nearby at all times.

A super handy little device is launched that, without looking dramatic, could be the solution to all my life problems as a four-eyed photographer who’s glued to screens all day, with a losing pet fur and finds its way into every crevice. The WaterBear is the smallest cloth you’ve ever seen, containing a professional cleaning element the size of a postage stamp.

Developed by Kuvrd (pronounced covered), the fabric is designed to stick to any surface, making it convenient storage options, taking up virtually no space when attached to your camera lens photo, on the back of your phone or on the corner of your monitor. as shown in the video posted on its Kickstarter page. The product has over 3,500 backers at the time of writing with £73,466 pledged (over $96,000), well exceeding its original target of $2,5000/£1,895.

Marketed as a universal glass cleaner that is washable, reusable and sticks to any surface without leaving streaks or residue, the WaterBear makes a great addition to anyone’s kit for frequent cleaning. The premium, user-friendly cloth is designed to ensure customers are ready anytime to easily, instantly and safely clean glass screens and devices.

The WaterBear Cloth is made from a synthetic tri-blend material of Polyamide Nano-Activated Carbon in a soft chamois, with omni-directional fiber loops to clean the glass without scratching it. If that wasn’t cool and practical enough, the fabric has an almost unlimited lifespan. You can go through dozens of uses of each little cloth before rinsing it with water and letting it air dry to restore its sticky texture and cleaning abilities. Rinse, dry, reuse.
