According to the distribution network, OnePlus plans to shut down 8T, 9R and vanilla 9 as soon as 9RT launches. This could be the case behind all those sudden discounts across the lineup.
I haven’t seen OnePlus products arrive within 6-8 months of launch.– Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) December 30, 2021
Yogesh adds that this could be the reason why OnePlus suddenly slashed the prices of OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 8T phones on various portals, combined with bank discounts and coupons. The brand apparently wants to dump so much stock from the existing lineup ahead of the OnePlus 9RT India launch. We should know more details about the OnePlus 9RT India launch once the company starts teasing its social media handles.
