Vivo Y76s (t1 version) with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, dual 50MP cameras launched: price, specs

Vivo has launched a new Y series smartphone. The company has launched Vivo Y76 (t1 version) in China. The device was launched as a new variant of the Y76s, which was spear at the end of last year in China. The t1 version has the same design as the Y76 but contains different hardware. The phone has a curved back and frame. It also packs a different processor under the hood.

The Y76s (t1 version) was launched in China in three color options. The phone was also launched with a unique storage configuration. Let’s take a look at the price, specs and other details of the Vivo Y76s (t1 version).

Vivo Y76s price and specifications (t1 version)

The Vivo Y76s (t1 version) was launched in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Its price is 1899 CNY (about Rs 21,800). The device was launched in Star Diamond White, Galaxy White and Starry Night Black colors.

In terms of specifications, the phone has a 6.58 inch IPS LCD screen. The screen has a Full HD+ resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels. The display supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a small teardrop notch at the top for the front camera.

Since the phone uses an LCD screen, the Y76s (t1 version) has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It also supports AI face unlock. The plastic back houses a rectangular camera module. It sports a dual camera setup with a 50MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the phone has an 8 MP front camera sensor.

Under the hood, the phone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In comparison, last year’s Y76s came with a Dimensity 810 SoC. So the t1 version is definitely a downgrade in terms of performance. The phone, however, gets more RAM under the hood. The t1 version packs 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB in last year’s model. It also offers 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can further expand storage using a microSD card.

The device packs a 4100mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging out of the box. It weighs around 175 grams and measures 163.84 x 75.00 x 7.79 mm. Finally, the phone runs Android 12 out of the box. It has a layer of Funtouch OS 12 on top.

Vivo has not confirmed any details about the launch of the t1 version in India. The device, if it makes it to India, might not be the best deal as there are phones from other brands that offer better value for money. What do you think of the y76s (t1 version)? Let us know in the comments below.
