Drone photos of damage to wrestler Jackie Pallo’s former home near Haine Road

Dramatic drone footage reveals the devastation caused by a massive farm fire.

The Ramsgate property was engulfed in flames yesterday afternoon, resulting in the closure of a road which caused traffic chaos.

The fire broke out at Ozengell Farmhouse in Haine Road, which was owned by former wrestling star Jackie ‘Mr TV’ Pallo.

He owned the property until his death in 2008, aged 80.

Three fire engines and a height vehicle were dispatched to the scene shortly after noon on Saturday.

The building is close to the Lord of the Manor roundabout and the A256 was closed for around three hours.

This led to long queues building from Canterbury Road West (Cliffsend) to B2050 Manton Road.

No injuries were reported and the cause is not yet known.

This is the second fire to break out at the property of the late wrestler – the first in 2018. Since then, it has been abandoned.

Plans have already been submitted to convert the building into six properties – but proposals have been rejected by Thanet District Council on three occasions, the first being in 2019.

The council’s decision was based on pedestrian safety along Haine Road, which currently has no footpaths near the proposed site.
