[ad_1]

After the launch of the premium Realme GT and GT Master Edition series, Realme, with the aim of offering more variety to consumers, introduced the GT Neo 2 in India.

With a starting price of Rs 31,999, it comes with a decent set of specifications. Does he deliver? Let’s take a look at this.

Design, build quality and display

DH received the black variant of the Realme GT Neo 2. It features a smooth surface on the shell and thanks to the frosted glass finish, the device is able to effectively repel fingerprints.

The company also offers an opaque gray silicone cover with the retail box. It is soft and able to protect the device from accidental drops.

Add to that, the front panel is well protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 shield. I’m happy to see that during the entire testing period I was able to keep the screen scratch-free.

Realme GT Neo 2 sports a 6.62-inch AMOLED E4 Full HD + (2400 × 1080) display with support for HDR10 + content. It also offers a maximum brightness of 1300 nits, which improves the experience of reading on the phone in direct sunlight.

With up to 120Hz refresh rate support, I had a great time reading the news, browsing the web on the device. Even the gaming experience also goes up a notch compared to most phones, which are capped at a 60Hz refresh rate.

The device also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. I am very impressed with the quick fingerprint response and more importantly the screen unlock with low false reject rate.

Performance
Inside it houses a reliable 7nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon (1 x 3.2 GHz + 3 x 2.42 GHz + 4 x 1.8 GHz Hexa) 870 chipset supported by the Adreno 650 graphics engine, the system Realme UI 2.0 operating system based on Android 11, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device works without problem. Evening gaming experience as well, the device showed no signs of lag while playing Asphalt 9: Legends.

As mentioned in my first print copy, Realme GT Neo 2 supports multiple standalone (SA) / non-standalone (NSA) 5G bands – n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n41, n77 and n78. Whenever the infrastructure is ready, device users can enjoy high-speed internet access of up to 7.5 Gbps.

Moreover, it comes with the latest generation Wi-Fi 6 technology to ensure stronger internet connectivity with the latest Wi-Fi routers at home and in the office.

With a massive 5,000mAh battery, it consistently lasted over a day under normal use. Even if you’ve watched videos or played games more than usual, it could still last a full day.

Another awesome aspect is that the device’s retail packaging comes with a 65W super fast charger. It can fully power the phone from zero to 100% in less than 40 minutes.

It captures great photos with colors that are closer to natural and there were fewer instances of oversaturation, which we see especially for subjects like flowers. Wide angle shots are also good with more coverage of the area in the frame.

In night mode, the image quality is decent for its asking price. In normal mode with LED flash activated, the photos are good.
