OnePlus 10T folds as easily as OnePlus 10 Pro

The OnePlus 10T is almost as easy to fold in half as the OnePlus 10 Pro before it, a new test has suggested.

In February, the all-new OnePlus 10 Pro was shown to be alarmingly easy to bend the phone in half in your hands. Now the company’s latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 10T, has fallen under the same durability test.

Once again, the phone hangman par excellence JerryRigAll is the source of the durability test. And again, the OnePlus 10T collapsed with alarming speed in the bend test, with the frame splitting in half with relatively light pressure.

It seems to take a bit longer than the 10 Pro to reach this point of failure, perhaps thanks to the presence of additional rail hardware. As soon as the tester flips the phone over and tries to fold it up towards the screen, it looks like a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The point of failure, just below the camera module and above the battery, does indeed look very similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Naturally, no phone would experience even that level of pressure under normal circumstances. But the fact is that the vast majority of flagship phones will withstand such basic pressure, which bodes well for their ultimate durability.

The bend test also confirmed that the cheaper OnePlus 10T had switched to a plastic frame, explaining the disappearance of the OnePlus 10 Pro‘s antenna lines.

We gave the OnePlus 10T four stars in our review, praising its performance, fast charging and display, but bemoaning its substandard camera.
