Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro – the company’s first electric scooters – will go on sale for the first time today. The electric scooters were launched on August 15 and offer a peak power of 8.5 kW. They come in two battery configurations: a 2.98 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Vanilla and a 3.97 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. Deliveries of the Ola electric scooters are expected to start in October. Both electric scooters have a 7 inch touchscreen.
Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro price in India, availability
Ola’s newly launched electric scooters – Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro – can be purchased starting today, September 15, starting at 8:00 am IST. The shopping aggregator detailed the buying process in a blog post. Vanilla Ola S1 can be purchased for Rs. 99,999 ex-showroom and Ola S1 Pro can be purchased for Rs 1,29,999 ex-showroom. Both of these prices are shown without the subsidies that electric vehicles receive in each state.
Once the Ola electric scooter buying portal opens on the company’s website, interested customers will have to pay Rs. 20,000 as an advance and the balance will have to pay the remaining amount before delivery of their Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro. The blog also mentions that deliveries would start in October but has yet to confirm the exact date.
Notably, customers who have booked their Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro electric scooters can cancel their reservations at any time prior to shipment. Electric scooters will be delivered directly to the customer’s home and the customer will be informed of the estimated delivery dates within 72 hours of placing the order. Ola also mentioned that customers can start testing in October.

As mentioned, the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro launched in two configurations: a 2.98 kWh battery on the Vanilla Ola S1 and a 3.97 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The first obtains a claimed autonomy of 121 km and a top speed of 90 km / h. The latter, meanwhile, has a range of 181 km and a top speed of 115 km / h. Vanilla Ola S1 gets two ride modes – Normal and Sports – while Ola S1 Pro gets Normal, Sports and Hyper ride modes.
They also have a 7-inch touchscreen with multiple microphones, an AI speech recognition algorithm, and run Ola Electric’s MoveOS. The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters also benefit from a number of safety features, including an anti-theft system, geo-fencing and a fire-retardant battery that is also water and dust resistant.
Competition Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro
Ola Electic scooters will face stiff competition in the electric two-wheeler market. It competes with Ather 450X, Simple One, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. Of all these five electric scooters, the Simple One comes with the longest claimed range of 236 km on a single charge. In contrast, the TVS iQube has the least claimed range of 75 km on a single charge.
However, the cheapest electric scooter in the range is the vanilla Ola S1 which has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 99,999 before subsidies. In comparison, the most expensive electric scooter is the Bajaj Chetak which has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1,41,400 before subsidies.
